How to channel Lauren Bush’s modern vintage look with an elegant forehead band
Lauren Bush, niece of former US president George Bush, showed how to combine vintage style with a modern edge when she teamed a fashion forward forehead band with a long soft romantic veil and intricately-beaded vintage lace gown for her wedding to fashion king Ralph Lauren’s son David.
Photos released by Vogue magazine show a relaxed ‘down home’ American wedding which included cowboy boots (even for the bride) but which also retained a real sense of elegance, ethereal beauty and vintage style. It might not have been exactly what was expected for the marriage of political royalty with fashion royalty - but that’s exactly the point, the couple did what was right for them instead of bowing to tradition to the point that it excluded their own personalities.

Lauren’s choice of a forehead band represents a growing wish among brides to choose fashion-forward accessories rather than going down the traditional - and more obvious - tiara route.
